Barbarian, the well-known Peruvian craft beer brand, releases on Thursday, July 18 at their Barranco venue, the latest version of Apagón Imperial Stout. Apagón (Spanish for ‘blackout’) is a dark beer with 10.5% alcohol by volume, copious amounts of hops, and has been cellared for 100 days, which will captivate beer and cacao lovers alike.
Apagón was awarded a gold medal at the most recent Copa Peruana de Cervezas Artesanales, where the judging included over 200 samples entered by craft breweries from around the country. It was this imperial stout the one to give Barbarian the victory and recognition as Best Peruvian Craft Brewery 2019.
“At Barbarian, we are always looking at ways to brew new beers in different styles, exploring a diversity that is enjoyed by all craft beer lovers and us,” reported Ignacio Schwalb, one of Barbarian’s partners.
Barbarian has received 54 beer awards nationally and internationally, which has turned the name into a benchmark of craft brewing as a well-deserved acknowledgement of its successful path, continuing growth, and world-class quality.
